I have a buddy that lives here in Hereford and is looking for a someone close-by to do his tuning. He has a 2002 Acura RSX Type S. Has the K20 engine and with manual transmission. He is finishing up installing a turbo setup. Not sure what kind of setup either. The only thing he is not sure about is where he can get it tuned. Anyone know of a company or somewhere to get it tuned at nearby? Also, what price range is he looking at to get it tuned? Anything near Amarillo or Lubbock? Thanks

Tell him to check out Jotech in Garland. They have been around for quite some time now and are well known for putting out some serious cars. Not just a bunch of ricer crap you see from a lot of these so called tuner shops.

What engine management is your friends using/planning on using? Besides a turbo kit, what modifications are done?
Kenny would be a good place to start. Jotech's been around longer than 90% of the "import tuning" shops in the country. If your friend's looking for something a little more local, I might be able to help. I've been building, tuning and swapping K series engines longer than most. I'm new to this part of Texas and don't know of any dynos in the area, but with the help of a wideband and/or an egt meter, I can get a good street tune out of it. Feel free to PM me if you need any help with the car, even if you take it to someone else for work. |
